Whitney Young Jr.
Date: June 20 – July 21, 2019
This compelling exhibition celebrated Whitney M. Young Jr. (July 31, 1921 – March 11, 1971), an American civil rights leader who spent most of his career working to end employment discrimination in the United States. Young was responsible for forwarding the National Urban League from a newly founded civil rights organization into a major force for the historically disenfranchised, championing equity and socioeconomic opportunity.
