DESIGN + THE CITY

Graphic Design is part of our city’s DNA-it’s woven into the fabric of the landscape, surrounding us every day in countless forms. From buses and murals to branding and museum exhibitions, design sends a message, and artists are the storytellers. Their experiences inform the narrative and on a large scale, global design expressions.

Created by ten artists, produced and curated by Kit Hinrichs and the Center for Architecture + Design, DESIGN + THE CITY explores San Francisco’s unique visual identity through the eyes of its most influential designers: Craig Frazier, John Hersey, Kit Hinrichs, Michael Mabry, John Mattos, Jennifer Morla, Jason Schulte, Michael Vanderbyl, and Maurice Woods, and several others.

SILENT AUCTION ITEMS

Place your bid in person at the Center for Architecture + Design, open Monday – Friday, 9am-2pm. Auction closes Wednesday, December 4.

In addition to the live poster auction, there will also be a silent auction, offering a wide array of specially curated experiences. Throughout the evening, attendees will have the opportunity to bid on scenic getaways to Carmel-by-the-Sea, Alpine Meadows, Bodega Bay, Guerneville, and Sicily.

The evening fundraiser benefits the Center for Architecture + Design, and its vision to enrich the community and enable positive change through architecture and design. We are dedicated to making San Francisco a vital city where design enriches the culture and shapes ideas related to the arts outside of architecture. With the help of the community, we will promote the value of design in enhancing our lives, bringing joy, and appreciating architecture’s role in making our cities vital.

Thank you to these individuals for their generous donations to the DESIGN + THE CITY Silent Auction: Bob Pullum; Gray Dougherty, AIA; Olle Lundberg, AIA; Jim Zack, AIA; Pamela Sadler; Cary Bernstein, FAIA; Gregory Herman
